Spread joy, not lice
Winter break is quickly approaching and Lice Clinics of Canada wants to ensure you spread joy this holiday season and not lice.
The holidays tend to be a peak time for head lice as families host gatherings, kids are off school, parents are home from work, and friends ring in the New Year together.
While this is already a hectic time, it’s important to ensure you fit in time to check your family for lice. The last thing you want is to spread lice during a family gathering, or even worse, spend your holidays dealing with lice.
Some people mistakenly think that they since their kids are not scratching their heads, then they must not have lice. This is not the case. Symptoms can take weeks to occur, and by this time, it’s too late.
What We Recommend
Before the holidays, Lice Clinics of Canada recommends picking up a metal lice comb, preventative spray, and a bottle of active rinse.
Our terminator combs will find anything hiding in the hair. The preventative spray can be used multiple times a day and help keep lice away. If one of those pesky bugs do manage to make their way onto someone’s head, the active rinse can then be applied to kill the bugs and stop them from laying eggs.
If lice is found, be sure to treat immediately with the active rinse and do a thorough combing to remove any bugs and the eggs they may have laid.
Doing this will ensure you spread joy this holiday season and not lice.
Lice Clinics of Canada will be open during the holidays, but hours will be limited. Give us a call for more information.
